Human-AI Coordinated Development: Widening Gaps Across Chinese Cities

The coordinated development of human-AI in first-tier cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, and Shenzhen, has far surpassed that of other cities. This growth has been particularly pronounced since 2015, resulting in a widening gap between these cities and others. In 2019, the coordinated development of human-AI reached a score of 0.69, indicating a highly effective situation. Similarly, new first-tier cities and second-tier cities have also shown significant growth over the study period, with a particularly strong trend after 2015. However, there remains a noticeable gap between these cities and the first-tier cities. In third-tier cities, fourth-tier cities, and fifth-tier cities, the coupling of human capital and AI remains relatively low, despite some slight growth.
