Keystone Film Corporation: The Birthplace of Slapstick Comedy

Keystone Film Corporation was an American motion picture production company founded in 1912 by Mack Sennett. It was one of the most influential and successful silent film studios of its time. Keystone is best known for its slapstick comedy films featuring the Keystone Cops, a group of bumbling police officers.

Under Sennett's leadership, Keystone became known for its fast-paced, chaotic comedy style and innovative filmmaking techniques. The studio produced hundreds of short films, many of which starred popular comedians such as Charlie Chaplin, Fatty Arbuckle, and Mabel Normand.
