Securing Cargo with Steel Chains: A Comprehensive Guide

To ensure the safe and secure transportation of cargo, proper securement methods are crucial. This article outlines a robust method using steel chains for optimal stability.

Six steel chains, each with a capacity of 20T, were employed to fasten the cargo to the portable D-ring. These chains were strategically positioned at an angle of 45-90 degrees relative to the athwartship direction. This angular placement maximizes stability and prevents unwanted movement during transit.

On the opposite side, six additional steel chains with identical specifications were directly attached to the other cargo in a transverse manner. This further enhances the security by distributing the load and minimizing the risk of shifting.

To connect the cargo in the middle to both side cargos, six lines of steel chain were used on each side in a transverse direction. This interconnection creates a unified and stable structure, effectively securing the entire cargo assembly.

By implementing these comprehensive securement measures, cargo stability is significantly improved, minimizing the potential for damage or accidents during transportation.
