miR-155-5p Specifically Targets ZC3H12B 3' UTR: Evidence from Dual Luciferase Reporter Assay

Furthermore, a dual luciferase reporter gene assay (Figure 3E) revealed that the luciferase activity of the wild-type (WT) ZC3H12B 3' untranslated region (3' UTR) was significantly reduced upon exposure to miR-155-5p mimic. However, no substantial differences were observed in the luciferase activity of the mutant-type (MUT) ZC3H12B 3' UTR (p > 0.05). These findings strongly suggest that miR-155-5p specifically binds to ZC3H12B.
