Research on anti-icing in the steering gear area based on active blowing method
Abstract: In order to solve the problem of icing in the steering gear area of high-speed trains in winter, an active blowing anti-icing system was designed and studied. The anti-icing system is mainly composed of a blower, a control system and a heating device. The experimental results show that the active blowing anti-icing system can effectively prevent the accumulation of ice in the steering gear area and improve the safety and reliability of high-speed trains in winter.

Introduction: In winter, the accumulation of ice in the steering gear area of high-speed trains can cause serious safety hazards, such as reduced braking performance, decreased steering sensitivity, and even derailment. Therefore, it is essential to develop an effective anti-icing system for the steering gear area of high-speed trains.
Methods: In this study, an active blowing anti-icing system was designed and studied. The system consists of a blower, a control system, and a heating device. The blower is used to blow warm air into the steering gear area to prevent the accumulation of ice. The control system is used to control the temperature and blowing speed of the blower. The heating device is used to heat the air blown into the steering gear area to ensure that it is warm enough to prevent icing.
Results: The experimental results show that the active blowing anti-icing system can effectively prevent the accumulation of ice in the steering gear area. The system can maintain the temperature in the steering gear area above zero degrees Celsius, which can effectively prevent the formation of ice. The blowing speed of the blower can be adjusted according to the temperature and humidity of the environment to achieve the best anti-icing effect.
Conclusion: The active blowing anti-icing system designed in this study can effectively prevent the accumulation of ice in the steering gear area of high-speed trains in winter, improve the safety and reliability of high-speed trains, and provide a new approach for the anti-icing of high-speed trains
