This graduation thesis presents the preliminary design of the electrical system for the 4×300MW unit power plant phase II project. In addition to the abstract and graduation design book, the thesis explains in detail the basic requirements and principles for equipment selection. Transformer selection includes determining the number, capacity, and model of the main transformer, high-voltage standby transformer, and high-voltage plant transformer. The focus of the electrical main line is on its importance, design basis, basic requirements, advantages and disadvantages of various wiring forms, comparison and selection of main lines, and the development of a main line suitable for the power plant's requirements. The power plant's electrical wiring includes the overall requirements and design of the power plant's busbar wiring. Short-circuit current calculation is the most important part, and this thesis provides a detailed introduction to the purpose, assumptions, general provisions, component parameter calculation, network conversion, and calculation of various short-circuit points. The selection of high-voltage electrical equipment includes the selection principles and requirements for busbars, high-voltage circuit breakers, isolating switches, current transformers, voltage transformers, and high-voltage switchgear, as well as verification and product-related introductions for these devices. Based on the design principles and requirements of high-voltage distribution devices introduced in this thesis and the 500KV distribution device, a phase-separated layout design is decided. The planning of relay protection and automatic devices includes general principles, automatic devices, general provisions, and protection for equipment such as generators, transformers, and busbars, while the lightning protection of power plants and substations mainly focuses on the design of lightning rods and surge arresters. In addition, the thesis includes drawings (main lines, floor plans, and sections) and tables in appropriate locations for easy reading, understanding, and application.
