Nordic Countries Lead in Female Representation in Lower Houses of Parliament

The Nordic countries have the highest number of female leaders. According to the 2021 United Nations statistics on the proportion of female leaders in the upper house of parliament in 190 countries and regions worldwide, the Pacific region has the highest number of women entering the upper house (44.9%), while the Nordic region has the highest number of women entering the lower house (44.5%).
