Possible Reasons for Cargo Damage: Moisture and Container Submersion
Based on our experience and available information, we have identified two possible reasons for the cargo damage, which are listed below for your reference:
-
High Moisture Content of the Cargo: It is possible that the cargo had a high moisture content, which could have resulted in shelf heating, ultimately causing damage and mold growth.
-
Submersion of the Container: Considering our experience, we cannot overlook the possibility of the container being submerged. Since the container floor is made of wood, submersion in water could have allowed water to enter the container through the floor. This, in turn, would create a high-moisture environment contributing to cargo shelf heating and mold growth.
However, due to the lack of sufficient data and information, we are unable to accurately determine the specific cause. We kindly request your assistance in providing us with further information to help pinpoint the exact reason for the damage.
