of good fortune and power, so the temple was named Longquan Temple which means ‘the temple of the dragon spring’. The temple has been renovated several times and now it’s a group of ancient buildings, including the bell tower, the drum tower, the main hall and the meditation hall. The main hall is the most important building in the temple, it’s a three-story building with a height of 33 meters, and it’s the highest wooden building in northeast China. The hall enshrines many Buddha statues, and the most famous one is the jade Buddha statue which is made of a whole piece of jade. It’s very precious and valuable.

Now let’s move on to the next attraction, the Guanhai Pavilion. The pavilion was built in Ming dynasty, and it’s located on the top of the mountain. It has a height of 308 meters, and it’s the highest point of Qianshan. From the pavilion, you can have a bird’s-eye view of the whole scenic spot, and you can also see the city of Anshan in the distance. The pavilion has a special feature, it’s a three-story building, but from the outside, it looks like a two-story building. It’s because the third floor is built inside the roof, and it’s called ‘the hidden floor’. The pavilion is also famous for its stone inscriptions, there are more than 100 inscriptions on the walls, and they were written by many famous scholars and poets in history.

Last but not least, we’re going to visit the Baishiyan Scenic Area. Baishiyan means ‘the white rock cliff’, it’s a natural wonder in Qianshan. The cliff is about 100 meters high, and it’s made of white granite. It’s very smooth and shiny, like a mirror. When the sun shines on the cliff, it reflects the light and creates a beautiful scene. There are also many interesting legends about the cliff, such as the story of the dragon king and the white snake.
