, you had to wait for it to arrive by train or by plane. But in 1978, a great change happened in China. It was called the Reform and Opening Up policy. It meant that the Chinese government wanted to change the way things were done in China. They wanted to open up to the world, to learn from other countries, and to modernize China. It was a big change, and it affected everyone in China.

For me, it meant that I could go to school. Before that, I didn't go to school because my family couldn't afford it. But with the new policy, education became more accessible. I went to a public school, and I was so happy to be able to learn new things. I learned Chinese, math, science, and history. I also learned English, and that's how I first heard about Yale University.

In 1998, twenty years later, I was 30. I had finished college and had a job as a TV journalist in Beijing. I was one of the first Chinese journalists to cover international news. I went to many countries and interviewed many important people. But I always remembered Yale University. I wanted to go there and learn more about the world.

So, I applied to Yale and was accepted. It was a dream come true. I studied English literature and journalism at Yale, and I learned so much. I also met many amazing people from all over the world. I realized that the world was not so far apart as I had thought when I was a child. We all had dreams, and we all wanted to make the world a better place.

After I graduated from Yale, I went back to China and continued my career as a journalist. I covered many important events in China and around the world. I also became a TV host and a popular public figure in China. I used my platform to promote education, culture, and understanding between China and the world.

In 2013, I was invited to give a speech at Yale University. It was a great honor for me to go back to my alma mater and share my story with the students and faculty there. I talked about the Chinese dream and how it was changing China and the world. I also talked about the importance of education and how it had changed my life.

Now, in 2021, I am still working as a TV journalist in China. I continue to promote education, culture, and understanding between China and the world. I also continue to have dreams, just like Mr. Martin Luther King did. I believe that we can all make a difference in the world if we work together and believe in ourselves. And I believe that Yale University has played an important role in my story and in the Chinese dream behind it
