t and equipment, and execution of the Works; (b) the duration of each stage and of the Works as a whole, including any critical activities and the Time for Completion; (c) the dates of any intermediate or sectional completion; and (d) any other information required by the Engineer. The Engineer may approve, reject or require revision of the programme. If the programme is not approved within 28 days after submission, it shall be deemed to have been rejected. The Contractor shall ensure that the Works are executed in accordance with the approved programme, as revised from time to time. 8.4 Delay Damages If the Contractor fails to complete the Works or any Section by the relevant Time for Completion, the Contractor shall be liable to pay Delay Damages to the Employer for every day or part of a day until Completion or Takeover, as the case may be. The amount of Delay Damages shall be the sum stated in the Contract Data or, if no sum is stated, the sum determined in accordance with the formula stated in the Particular Conditions. 8.5 Extension of Time (EOT) The Contractor may apply for an EOT if he considers himself to be entitled to any such extension under the Contract. The Contractor shall give written notice to the Engineer of the event or circumstance giving rise to the application, as soon as practicable, but not later than 28 days after the Contractor became aware, or should have become aware, of the event or circumstance. The notice shall specify the event or circumstance, its expected impact on the Time for Completion, and the Contractor's proposals for mitigating the effect thereof. The Engineer shall proceed in accordance with Sub-Clause 3.5 [Determinations] and Sub-Clause 20.1 [Contractor's Claims] to assess the Contractor's entitlement to the EOT. If the Engineer approves the EOT, the Time for Completion shall be extended accordingly and the Contractor shall be entitled to an adjustment of the Contract Price and any other relevant terms of the Contract. 8.6 Suspension The Engineer may instruct the Contractor to suspend the whole or any part of the Works for any reason. The Engineer shall give written notice of the suspension to the Contractor, stating the reason and the period of suspension. The Contractor shall comply with the notice and shall not resume the suspended Works without the Engineer's written instruction. If the suspension results in a delay to the Completion or Takeover of the Works, the Contractor shall be entitled to an EOT and any other relevant adjustment under Sub-Clauses 8.5 [Extension of Time] and 20.1 [Contractor's Claims]
