TED- Try something new for 30 days English text I typed by handA few years ago I felt like I was stuck in a rut So I decided to follow in the footsteps of the great American philosopher Morgan Sourloc
ived, but you’ll have a novel at the end of the month. Now, is my novel good? No. It’s terrible. But I’m proud of it. I wrote a novel in 30 days! Something I never would have thought possible before I started my 30-day challenges.
The next thing I learned is that if you really want to do something, You’ll find the time to do it. For example, I always wanted to learn how to draw. So I decided to take a drawing class for 30 days. The class was every Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. At first, I thought, “There’s no way I can give up my Monday evenings.” But then I realized, “Wait a minute, what did I do last Monday evening?” And I couldn’t even remember. So I went to the class, and I loved it. I ended up taking the class for three months, and I drew some pretty cool stuff.
The last thing I learned is that, if you’re going to do something new for 30 days, It’s worth sharing it with people. Your friends and family will be supportive, And they’ll be more likely to join you. I figured, if I’m going to try these new things, Why not try to do it with other people? So I started a blog, and I posted my progress every day for the 30 days. I figured if I got 100 readers, It would be a success. But then, something amazing happened. I ended up getting more than half a million readers, From all around the world. And it was then that I realized that my little idea of trying something new for 30 days had turned into something much bigger than myself.
So here’s my challenge to you: I want you to try something new for 30 days. It can be anything. Whatever you’ve always wanted to add to your life. Or subtract from it. Maybe you want to write a novel. Maybe you want to start meditating. Or running. Or biking. Or swimming. Or drawing. Whatever it is, pick something and do it every day for the next 30 days. And if you’re willing to share, I’d love to hear about it. Thank you
