Oil Spill Response Vessel Activity Near NEWZENBERG: A Timeline

During a site visit regarding the recent oil spill, we met with representatives from the cleaning company to clarify the vessels deployed in the response. They confirmed the primary emergency vessel used from September 7th to 8th was the 'Zhonghai Oil 28'. Two supporting working boats, 'Xinxing 002' and 'Xinxing 003', with power ratings of 219KW, 105KW, and 105KW respectively, assisted in the operation.

To further investigate, we examined vessel trajectories on the Ship Information Network. Our findings indicated frequent activity near NEWZENBERG by both 'Zhonghai Oil 28' and 'Xinxing 002'. However, no trajectory data was available for 'Xinxing 003' prior to September 14th, warranting further investigation.

Importantly, the cleaning company stated that 'Zhonghai Oil 28' has remained under surveillance since the cleanup's conclusion and is currently on standby, demonstrating continued vigilance against potential future incidents.
