Article 5 Employees shall apply for annual leave and obtain approval from their units. Units shall arrange annual leave for employees in a reasonable manner and shall not interfere with employees' personal affairs. Article 6 Where an employee is unable to take annual leave due to work needs, the unit shall arrange for him to take leave in the following year or pay him in lieu of leave. Article 7 Where an employee terminates his employment, the unit shall pay him for his unused annual leave days. Article 8 Units shall establish and improve a system for managing and recording annual leave. Article 9 These Regulations shall come into force on January 1, 2008. The Regulations of Paid Annual Leave of Employees issued by the State Council on December 10, 1999 shall be annulled simultaneously
