With the rise in global temperature anomaly (Fig1.A), there appears to be a consistent decrease in the number of spring frost events (Fig1.B). Linear regression analysis shows a strong negative correlation between the two (Fig1.C), indicating that global warming is causing a decrease in spring frost events. Additionally, the loss of yield for crops such as corn, soybean, and winter wheat has been increasing over the years (Fig1.D, E, F).
