Last semester, I took QMSS 301 - Quantitative Social Science Analysis and Big Data, where I honed my skills in Python and R to gather and analyze data. As an individual project, I conducted web scraping and sentiment analysis on comments from a social media post (Reddit) using Python, creating visualizations. This project enhanced my skills and prepared me for the ESB programme, while giving me a deeper understanding of how quantitative methods can empower social scientists and students to analyze research problems efficiently.
