Component Replacement During Scheduled Dry-docking: Analysis and Findings
According to the marker's feedback, several components required replacement during the scheduled dry-docking. These components included the sliding piece, one sleeve, O-rings, gasket, back up ring, oil seal, four sliding blocks, locking plate, rung spacer, locking wires, spacer ring, plugs, shim, and seven sleeves. Despite a thorough on-site inspection, no visible damage was detected on the replaced parts. This observation leads us to believe that the replacements were not prompted by any accidental damage, but rather by excessive wear or the natural end of the components' service life. Therefore, we conclude that this repair work aligns with the scope of the scheduled dry-docking and its preventative maintenance objectives.
