Deletion of ORF56-57 in CyHV-3: Potential for Attenuated CyHV-1 and CyHV-2 Vaccines
Given that homologs of KHV ORF56-57 are also found in the other two cyprinid herpesviruses (CyHV-1 and CyHV-2), the deletion of ORF56-57, as reported here for CyHV-3, has the potential to be used in the development of attenuated recombinant vaccine candidates for CyHV-1 and CyHV-2.
