According to the crew's report, the hatch or ventilation hole was not opened for ventilation during the voyage, as the ship was transporting goods from a cold region to a hot region. However, there were two occasions when the hatch was opened for specific purposes. In Singapore, the hatch was opened to remove fumigation residues, and on another occasion, it was opened to inspect the cargo.
