Ship Cleaning Update: Oil Stain Removal and Safety Precautions

We have maintained consistent communication with all parties involved, particularly with the workers who faced language barriers in communicating with the crew.

Currently, despite the workers' multiple cleaning efforts, there are still oil stains present on the ship's hull, especially below the waterline where oil slicks have left several black marks. We will collaborate with the crew and strongly encourage the cleaning workers to continue their efforts in cleaning the hull.

The deck has been thoroughly cleaned. The workers are now focusing on cleaning the cargo hold and fuel tanks. The sludge and dirty oil that have been removed will be disposed of in accordance with the repair plan.

On-site, we have repeatedly reminded the workers to prioritize safety and take precautions against heatstroke due to the hot weather. We require the workers to maintain forced ventilation during the cleaning process and carry gas detectors with them. Additionally, they should use anti-static equipment such as explosion-proof copper shovels and wooden shovels for cleaning purposes.
