IELTS Writing Task 1: Fire Evacuation Plan for Student Dorm

This map shows the fire evacuation plan for the second floor of a student dormitory at a university. There are two designated meeting points for the residents in case of a fire. Meeting point 1 is for the residents of bedrooms 1, 2, and 3, while meeting point 2 is for the residents of the other four bedrooms.

Meeting point 1 is located under the western stairs and is in the northwest and southwest areas. Bedroom 3 is the closest to the stairs, while bedrooms 2 and 3 are at a similar distance from the stairs.

Residents of bedrooms 4 to 7, located in the southeast and northeast directions, will meet at meeting point 2, which is also located near the stairs. Bedroom 7 is closest to the stairs, while bedrooms 4 and 6 are slightly farther away compared to bedrooms 5 and 7.

It is important to note that the lift should not be used during a fire. Anyone in the lift should exit and use the stairs to reach meeting point 2.
