Butt Welds and Fillet Welds:

• Grind Excess Height: Grind down excess height at the intersection of butt welds to ensure a flush surface.* Drilling Holes (If Necessary): Drill through holes across butt welds to ensure close contact between components and the plate for optimal welding quality.* Welding Sequence: For butt welds on the belly plate of continuous fillet welds, complete the butt welds first. Grind down excess height at the fillet welds before starting the continuous fillet welding.
