Cargo Hold Cleaning Update: Safety Measures & Resumption Plan

Due to the heavy rain, both the hatch cover of the cargo hold and the manhole cover of the fuel oil tank were closed to prevent rainwater from entering. To ensure safety during cleaning, workers will promptly provide rainproof covers when the covers are opened for inner cleaning during the rain. The effectiveness of these measures will be closely monitored.

While safety remains our top priority, we propose opening the hatches to resume the cleaning operation as soon as possible. To address the slow progress caused by the rain delay, additional manpower has been requested from the terminal. They have confirmed that 10 workers will be dispatched on July 22, as originally planned, to assist with the cleaning efforts.
