Due to the possibility of heavy rain in the weather forecast, the crew members were concerned that rainwater might not be collected in time and would enter the sea. Therefore, they requested SPRO to lay down oil booms. SPRO conducted two boarding inspections based on the requests of the captain and the shipowner. However, after evaluation, SPRO deemed that the risks after continuing the cleanup were manageable. Therefore, no oil booms were laid down.
