Why Does Northwest China, Like Xinjiang, Have Little Rainfall?

Yeah, I reckon the northwest region of China, you know, places like Xinjiang, don't get much rain. It's mainly because these areas are located quite far from the coast, more inland, so they ain't really affected by typhoons or anything like that.
