Hatch Cover Damage During Cargo Unloading on August 21, 2023

On August 21, 2023, at 22:46hrs, an unloading grab was utilized to remove the remaining cargo on the top of the No. 3 starboard side hatch cover. While closing the grab, it accidentally landed on the top of the hatch cover, causing it to jump. The inner part of the hatch cover subsequently lifted from the track way and did not return to its original position. As a result, two wheels of the hatch cover were left suspended in the air. In response to this incident, our surveyor was promptly assigned to assess the situation.
