Inspection Report: Damage Assessment and Discrepancies with Letter of Protest

Following a thorough inspection, we confirmed that the majority of the damage observed aligns with the details provided in the Letter of Protest. However, we did identify a few inconsistencies requiring further clarification.

Specifically, our inspection revealed several bent sounding pipes and the absence of multiple protection bars. It's crucial to note that the bent pipes were previously documented in the on-hire report filed for the voyage immediately following the reported incident. As for the missing protection bars, it appears their detachment could be attributed to damage sustained at the connection point with the bulkhead.

Furthermore, given the significant time lapse since the incident occurred, the affected area now exhibits substantial rust. We also observed that certain damages mentioned in the Letter of Protest, such as the handrail on the ladders, have since been repaired.
