货物检验报告及维修安排
Dear Ms Chai,
Good day!
Further to the subject matter, we would like to inform you that our surveyor, along with the sub-charterer's surveyor, Mr. Shao, TENCO's surveyor, Mr. Li, and the technician from the repair team, Mr. Mao, reattended the vessel at 10:20 AM on August 20th to inspect the damage inside the cargo hold together with the crew.
After the inspection, we noted that most of the damage observed on-site was consistent with the damage shown in the Letter of Protest (LOP), except for the bending of several sounding pipes. However, the bending of these sounding pipes was recorded in the on-hire report for the next voyage. Due to the significant amount of time that has passed since the incident, the damaged area has become severely rusted. Based on our findings and the documents provided by the master, we suspect that all the damage observed on-site occurred during the voyage chartered by Cargill.
We also noted that some of the damages mentioned in the LOP, such as the handrail of the ladders, have been repaired.
According to the crew, the shipowner did not provide detailed repair requirements and only requested that the crew check the damage to the protection bar and ladders. The materials for repairing the steps and protection bar have been supplied on board, as estimated by the crew.
The estimated time of departure (ETD) for the vessel is scheduled for 01:00 AM on August 20th, 2023, with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) at Yantai in the morning of the same day. The repair team is expected to attend on board for repairs in the afternoon of August 20th. Our surveyor, Mr. Suntao, from Qingdao port will attend at Yantai port for geographical convenience.
If you have any further instructions, please feel free to contact us.
Best regards,[Your Name]
