Research Experience: During the summer break of my freshman year, I served as the leader of a "Big Innovation" project titled "Consumer Behavior in the Live E-commerce Market: A Questionnaire and Field Experiment Study from the Perspective of Self-Concept." I used a questionnaire survey method to explore the influence and mechanism of self-concept and applied a field experiment method in real live broadcasts to further verify the pre-experiment results. Eventually, I drew the conclusion that "there exists a mediating effect in the influence of self-concept on consumer behavior, with consumption motivation (personal-oriented and social-oriented motivation) as the mediator." This project went through multiple rounds of selection and defense at the school and college level and finally won the honor of "Excellent Completion of Beijing Municipal Level" in the "Big Innovation" competition. In the second semester of my sophomore year, I worked with Professor Zheng Dengjin on the topic of "Text Analysis of R&D Cost Disclosure: Differences, Motivations and Consequences." We researched the impact of R&D investment allocation on the R&D performance of enterprises under the background of separate reporting of R&D costs on the new profit statement format since 2018. The article adopted a text analysis method to optimize the dimension subdivision of the R&D cost items with significantly improved information disclosure since 2018. We also controlled the industry and year effects in both directions and explored the different impacts of different subdivision items on R&D output and further explored their respective impact mechanisms, enriching the existing literature on the internal mechanism of improving the innovation efficiency of R&D activities. From the second semester of my sophomore year to the first semester of my junior year, I worked as an industry research intern in the research department of CICC, exploring in-depth research from the perspective of the industry and gradually establishing my own industry research system. I wrote multiple industry reports and company reports. For example, in the "Specialization, Sophistication, and Innovation of Photovoltaic Industry" report series, I summarized the development trend, production process, and technical barriers of the photovoltaic industry chain. I also analyzed the development opportunities of the photovoltaic industry under the support of the national "Specialization, Sophistication, and Innovation" policy, based on the trends of new technology iteration, the domestication process of raw materials in various sub-industries, and the platformization transformation of enterprises extending the industrial chain. Through these explorations on the scientific research road, my comprehensive abilities have been greatly improved. Firstly, the extensive literature review and the writing of project proposals, literature reviews, and papers have equipped me with the basic abilities that a scientific researcher should possess. Secondly, when the research progress was hindered, I learned to adjust my mentality, not be afraid of difficulties, actively seek solutions, and face difficulties directly. In this process, my willpower was tempered, and I gradually became brave enough to analyze and solve problems with a calm mind.
