Mario Prada

Mario Prada (1883-1958) was an Italian fashion designer and the founder of the luxury fashion house Prada. He began his career as a leather goods manufacturer in Milan in 1913, creating high-quality luggage, handbags, and accessories. In 1919, he opened his first boutique in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, where he sold his luxurious leather goods to wealthy customers.

After Mario's son, Aldo Prada, joined the company in 1950, Prada began to expand its offerings to include women's clothing and shoes. The brand became known for its minimalist, elegant designs and its use of luxurious materials such as leather, fur, and satin. Today, Prada is one of the world's leading luxury fashion brands, with stores in major cities around the globe
