Drought Stress Effects on Salvia Miltiorrhiza Growth Stages: A Controlled Experiment

Salvia miltiorrhiza seeds, uniform in size and integrity, were chosen and sterilized for 10 minutes using 10% sodium hypochlorite (v/v). After rinsing with distilled water, these seeds were sown into plastic pots (30 cm diameter ￗ 20 cm height) containing 0.9 L of sterilized vermiculite. The experiment was divided into three groups, with sowing in February, May, and July, respectively (designated as TF, TM, TJ). When drought treatment was carried out in October, the Salvia miltiorrhiza plants in these three groups were at the seedling stage, nutritional growth stage, and reproductive growth stage, respectively. 42 pots with similar growth potential were selected for each group and divided into 7 treatments, with each treatment being repeated 6 times.
