Drought Stress Impacts Metabolism and Yield of S. miltiorrhiza Roots
It has been demonstrated that drought stress leads to a reduction in glycolysis and TCA cycle metabolism as well as biosynthesis of bioactive constituents in the root of S. miltiorrhiza. These changes in metabolic homeostasis of plant tissue result in decreased yield.
