SEC Amends Investment Advisers Act: Impact on Global Private Fund Advisors

In this article, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission adopted amendments to the rules under the Investment Advisers Act, which will impact advisors of private funds globally. Although these rules do not directly apply to non-U.S. offshore private fund advisors with respect to their non-U.S. private fund clients, it's recommended that such advisors familiarize themselves with the rules and consider updating their policies and operational protocols.
