However, there is currently no ideal solution in the field of rehabilitation medicine for improving lower limb motor control disorders. Common treatment methods still involve the comprehensive use of muscle strength, stretching, balance, standing, transfer, gait, and vibration training.[6] The treatment theory is still based on the neurofacilitation techniques framework established many years ago, such as Bobath, PNF, and movement relearning.[7-9] In order to solve the current reality that there is no rehabilitation treatment method that has been proven to directly target the lower limb motor control disorder target and bring expected significant therapeutic effects, our team started from the basic functions and characteristics of lower limb movement, combined with clinical experience, and innovatively proposed the Gusu Constraint Standing Training (GCST), which is suitable for patients with lower limb motor control disorders and has clear operating steps. It was first published under the name Constraint Standing Training in Archives of Rehabilitation Research and Clinical Translation in 2021.[10
