Unit 1: Our World
Aim: To introduce students to vocabulary related to the world, geography, and countries.

Materials: Flashcards, world map, pictures of different countries.
Warm-up (5 minutes)
Greet the students and ask them if they know where they live. Ask them to point to their city or country on a world map if you have one. If not, show them a picture of the world and ask them to point to their country.
Presentation (15 minutes)
Introduce the vocabulary related to the world, geography, and countries using flashcards and pictures. Show the flashcards one by one and ask the students to repeat after you. You can also use gestures and actions to help them remember the words.

Practice (15 minutes)

Production (15 minutes)
Ask the students to think of a country they would like to visit. Then, ask them to draw a picture of that country and label the different geographical features using the vocabulary they have learned. When they finish, ask them to present their drawings to the class and describe the country using the vocabulary.
Wrap-up (5 minutes)
Review the vocabulary and ask the students to point to different parts of the world on the map. Ask them to say a fact about each place they point to. For example, "This is Africa. It is the second-largest continent in the world.
