The article investigates the association between short-term exposure to air pollution and respiratory diseases among children in China through a systematic review and meta-analysis. The study conducted a comprehensive search of electronic databases and identified 38 relevant studies for inclusion. The results of the meta-analysis showed a significant positive association between short-term exposure to air pollution and respiratory diseases among children in China. The findings suggest that air pollution is a significant risk factor for respiratory diseases among children in China and highlight the need for effective air pollution control measures to protect children's health. The study provides important insights for policymakers and public health professionals in developing effective strategies to reduce air pollution and protect children's health in China
