Our company received an email from Two IFC management on April 20, 2023 regarding an individual who fell and was injured in the public corridor on the 35th floor of Two IFC during our company's construction period. The incident occurred on April 18, 2023.

First and foremost, our company would like to express our deepest sympathies to the injured individual and wish them a speedy recovery. Our company is willing to bear the medical expenses of the injured party, as notified by the management on April 28, 2023, in the amount of HKD xxx.

We would like to reiterate that during our renovation project, we followed the guidelines and specifications issued by the building management and installed safety measures in public areas only after obtaining the management's official approval.

Our company also conducts regular inspections of the protective materials installed in public areas to ensure their condition and safety. Any damages found will be repaired promptly to avoid any potential hazards for users in the area.

However, as the area is open to the public, including tenants and other individuals engaged in other projects, our protective measures may have been damaged or destroyed when our company was not present or when our staff was unaware of the situation, potentially causing harm to other users.

Therefore, after internal discussions, our company has decided to pay for the medical expenses in question. This decision was made purely out of goodwill. We hope that the injured party understands that our company has followed the guidelines set by the building management and kindly request that this settlement of medical expenses be considered as the end of this incident.
