When I was a junior in elementary school, I remember feeling bored during class. I had a desire to rest my head on my desk and close my eyes, but my teacher was always watching. The primary focus was on our studies, but I was more interested in the world outside of school. I carried a paper and pencil with me everywhere, ready to write down any extra thoughts that came to mind.

One day, a national business came to our school looking to hire a scientist for a scientific affair. I was intrigued by the idea of working in a lab and being capable of discovering something new. I even had dreams of becoming a scientist myself one day.

As the pressure to perform well in school increased, I struggled to shine. My parents expected me to commit to my studies and make a solid effort to get good grades. I felt the anxiety building up inside me as I tried to please them and my teachers.

But not everything was about school and business. I also had some pleasant memories from my childhood, such as hanging out with my friends near the playground. We would try to remember the words to our favorite songs and let loose, absorbing the broad culture around us.

One day, as we were playing, a guard approached us in his vehicle. He was polite but stern, reminding us to be careful and not fight with each other. I hardly knew what he meant, but I nodded my head and promised to be good.

As the years went by, I became more independent and senior in my studies. I received evidence that I was capable of achieving my dreams, and I fought through any obstacles that came my way. And although I may have frozen at times, I continued to push myself forward and chase after my goals.

Now, as an adult, I still look back on those childhood memories with pleasure. The ring of the school bell, the smell of freshly sharpened pencils, and the board games we played during recess - all of these moments helped shape who I am today
