User Satisfaction and Challenges of Public Charging Infrastructure for New Energy Vehicles in Small Cities: A Case Study of TX City

After decades of development, new energy vehicles have garnered significant attention, leading to increased research on supporting charging infrastructure. However, existing studies primarily focus on national-level or developed city contexts, often overlooking smaller cities. This research addresses this gap by examining the construction and usage of public charging infrastructure for new energy vehicles in TX City, a representative small city, from the perspective of user satisfaction.

Utilizing a questionnaire survey, this study explores the development of charging infrastructure in small cities, focusing on aspects like infrastructure layout, supply and demand dynamics, and user satisfaction. By understanding the needs, satisfaction, and user experiences of TX residents regarding charging infrastructure, this research aims to provide valuable recommendations and decision-making insights for the government and relevant stakeholders involved in the planning and development of new energy charging facilities.

Ultimately, this research seeks to enhance the satisfaction of TX residents with the construction and usage of public charging stations for new energy vehicles, promoting the healthy and rapid development of the public charging industry in TX and supporting the broader adoption of new energy vehicles. By filling this research gap, the study provides a deeper understanding of the construction and usage patterns of new energy charging infrastructure within small cities like TX. Additionally, it offers insights into user demands and opinions, enabling the proposal of appropriate policies and measures to improve user satisfaction, encourage industry development, and facilitate the wider adoption of new energy vehicles. This research will serve as a valuable reference for the development of new energy charging infrastructure in small cities and contribute new perspectives to the research field as a whole.
