Abstract During classroom learning, listening strategies can affect the efficiency of classroom listening, which is of great significance for students. This study mainly focuses on the current status of listening strategies of high school students in the second grade of the High School Affiliated to Renmin University. We consulted relevant literature and data both domestically and internationally, and used a questionnaire survey to collect data, which was then processed and analyzed using Excel and SPSS systems. We concluded that the mean scores of the four dimensions of listening strategies for high school students in the second grade of the High School Affiliated to Renmin University were ranked from high to low as follows: thinking processing, emotional regulation, goal management, and attitude motivation, with thinking processing and goal management having a greater impact on academic performance.
