Abstract: The automotive industry is a vital pillar of China's economy, playing an essential role in national economic and social development. Despite facing numerous challenges, including the impact of the pandemic, chip shortages, and geopolitical conflicts, China's automotive production and sales volume in 2022 reached 27.021 million and 26.864 million units, respectively, an increase of 3.4% and 2.1% year-on-year [1]. With the launch of 131 new car models, a 10% increase year-on-year, major manufacturers are actively iterating their products, indicating fierce competition in the consumer market. Shortening the design cycle of new products remains an important means of seizing market share. Establishing a platform and digitalized research and development (R&D) system is an effective guarantee for shortening the development cycle, reducing R&D costs, improving product quality, and enhancing corporate competitiveness.

As one of the four major vehicle assemblies, the design and manufacturing of automotive body parts have significant implications in the development process of automotive products. The development of a vehicle body is an iterative process that involves repeated optimization and modification of its parts, which consumes a significant amount of time. In the context of rapid digital technology development worldwide, the research and production of complex vehicle bodies are gradually moving towards automation, integration, and intelligence. By leveraging computer-aided design techniques [2] to improve the efficiency of model generation and editing during the iteration process of body parts modification, the efficiency of vehicle body development can be enhanced, leading to improved corporate competitiveness.
