Introduction

Data visualization is a powerful tool for presenting complex information in a way that is easy to understand and interpret. In this paper, we will be exploring the use of data visualization to analyze and present information about the Chinese economy, specifically focusing on the country's trade with other nations.

Background

China is one of the world's largest economies and is heavily reliant on trade with other countries. In 2020, China's total trade volume reached $4.6 trillion, making it the world's largest trading nation. With such a huge volume of trade, it can be difficult to analyze and understand the data. This is where data visualization comes in.

Data Visualization

In order to better understand China's trade with other nations, we have created a series of data visualizations. These visualizations are based on data from the General Administration of Customs of China and cover the period from 2010 to 2020.

The first visualization is a bar chart that shows China's total trade volume with the rest of the world over the past decade. As can be seen from the chart, China's trade volume has been steadily increasing over the years, with a slight dip in 2019 due to the US-China trade war.
