The present study has identified a possible positive impact based on existing research; however, further verification is required. Particularly in the context of China, our research aims to investigate whether the misallocation of human capital resulting from regional preferences - where high-quality talents tend to settle in the Eastern region - can be alleviated through intelligent development. The key contributions of this paper are threefold: firstly, we examine the impact of intelligent development on human capital misallocation from a regional perspective. Secondly, we construct an evaluation index system to assess the progress of intelligent development in China. Finally, we employ a chained multiple mediation effect method and spatial econometric model to test the mechanism paths through which intelligence affects human capital misallocation
