Abstract: Measured evapotranspiration is one of the important parameters in soil moisture research and water resources management. However, the processing method of measured evapotranspiration data still has many controversies. In this study, a processing method for measured evapotranspiration data based on energy balance is proposed. The method uses the heat diffusion equation and the canopy resistance formula to calculate the latent heat flux and heat flux of evapotranspiration. At the same time, considering the changes in soil moisture and the impact of rainfall, this study also proposes a correction formula to correct the measured evapotranspiration data. The experimental results show that the method can accurately calculate the measured evapotranspiration and can effectively correct the changes in soil moisture and the impact of rainfall.
