who was David Herold Lincoln assassination

David Herold was one of the conspirators in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. He was a friend of John Wilkes Booth, the main conspirator, and helped Booth plan and execute the assassination. Herold was with Booth when he was cornered and killed by Union soldiers, and he was later captured and sentenced to death for his role in the plot. He was hanged on July 7, 1865, along with three other conspirators.
