Act 1

Scene 1 Emma is walking alone in the hallway when Jake and his gang approach her.

Jake: Hey, you! Where do you think you're going?

Emma: (nervously) Um, just to my next class.

Jake: (mocking) Oh, really? Well, I think you should take a detour first.

Jake's gang surrounds Emma, and they start to push her around.

Emma: (crying) Please, stop! What did I ever do to you?

Jake: (smirking) Nothing. I just don't like your face.

Scene 2 Tom sees Emma in the hallway and notices that she's upset.

Tom: Hey, Emma, what's wrong?

Emma: (sniffling) Jake and his friends just bullied me again.

Tom: (angrily) That's it! I'm going to talk to Ms. Johnson about this.

Act 2

Scene 1 Tom and Emma meet with Ms. Johnson in her office.

Ms. Johnson: Hello, Tom and Emma. What brings you here today?

Tom: (firmly) We need your help with Jake. He's been bullying Emma for weeks now, and we can't take it anymore.

Emma: (nodding) Yes, please. I don't know what to do.

Ms. Johnson: I'm sorry to hear that. Let's talk about some strategies to stop the bullying.

Scene 2 Jake and his gang are in the hallway, teasing another student when Ms. Johnson approaches them.

Ms. Johnson: Jake, can I talk to you for a moment?

Jake: (sarcastically) Sure, I'm all ears.

Ms. Johnson: (sternly) I've received reports that you've been bullying Emma. Is that true?

Jake: (defensively) No, it's not. She's lying.

Ms. Johnson: (firmly) I don't believe you. Bullying is not acceptable, and it won't be tolerated in this school. If I hear any more reports of bullying from you or your friends, there will be serious consequences.

Scene 3 Tom and Emma are walking in the hallway, and Jake and his gang approach them.

Jake: (smirking) Hey, look who it is. The crybaby and her little defender.

Tom: (confidently) We're not afraid of you anymore. Ms. Johnson knows what you've been doing, and we won't let you bully us anymore.

Emma: (standing up for herself) Yeah, we're done being your victims.

Jake: (surprised) Whatever. You're not worth my time anyway.

Jake and his gang walk away, and Tom and Emma feel relieved.

Act 3

Scene 1 Tom and Emma are sitting in the school courtyard, talking about their experience.

Tom: (proudly) You did great standing up to Jake like that.

Emma: (gratefully) Thanks for being there for me, Tom. I don't know what I would have done without you.

Tom: (smiling) That's what friends are for.

Scene 2 Ms. Johnson sees Tom and Emma in the courtyard and walks up to them.

Ms. Johnson: (smiling) Hi, you two. I just wanted to say that I'm proud of you for standing up to bullying. It takes a lot of courage to do that, and you both showed it today.

Tom and Emma: (smiling) Thank you, Ms. Johnson.

Ms. Johnson: (encouragingly) Remember, if you ever need someone to talk to about bullying or anything else, I'm here for you.

Tom and Emma: (gratefully) We will. Thanks, Ms. Johnson.

Scene 3 The curtain closes with Tom and Emma sitting in the courtyard, enjoying each other's company, and feeling proud of themselves for standing up against bullying.
