Wang Zhijie et al. [47] used microwave pretreatment on chalcopyrite and molybdenite in pure water and seawater, and then conducted flotation experiments. The results showed that microwave pretreatment could promote the oxidation of chalcopyrite and reduce its floatability, regardless of whether it was in pure water or seawater, but microwave pretreatment had no significant effect on the flotation of molybdenite. Contact angle test results showed that the surface contact angle of chalcopyrite decreased when microwave pretreatment was used in pure water and seawater, but there was no significant change in the contact angle of molybdenite. Even when molybdenite was treated in seawater, its surface contact angle not only did not decrease but also increased slightly.
