The Shizitan Reservoir, situated in Changshou District, Chongqing, China (29°50′-30°04′N, 107°15′-107°27′E), boasts over 200 islands, making it the largest lake tourism scenic spot in Chongqing. The reservoir's normal water level is 336.4 m (85 national elevation, the same below), covering an area of 64.76 square kilometers. The dead water level is 317.9 m, with a total water level drop of 18.5 m. Over many years, the average highest water level is 334.6 m, and the lowest is 322.9 m, leaving a difference of 11.7 m. This fluctuation zone of the Shizitan Reservoir is characterized by large water level changes, multiple bay areas, and significant topographic slope changes, as depicted in the schematic diagram in Figure 2.

Recently, the Changshou District Government has implemented tourism industry planning and various improvements to enhance the surroundings and water quality of the Shizitan Reservoir.
