QLU-C10D for Breast Cancer Patients: A Longitudinal Study with Chinese Value Sets
The EORTC QLU-C10D is a cancer-specific preference-based measure that represents a novel approach to measuring cancer-related quality of life. Some previous research has utilized either 3L or 5L as the reference and has verified the measurement properties of QLU-C10D. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that these studies were conducted using a cross-sectional design, which may have some limitations. This study was designed as a longitudinal investigation to enhance our comprehension of the measurement properties of the QLU-C10D and to ascertain which instruments, either the generic 5L or the cancer-specific C10D, are more advantageous for breast cancer patients. In order to ensure cultural relevance and applicability to the Chinese population, this study utilized value sets of C10D and 5L produced by China. This cultural adaptation improves the specificity and accuracy of assessing the condition and treatment effects of Chinese patients. Additionally, it enhances the reliability and comparability of the data of the study.
