Conversely, impaired glymphatic function may lead to the accumulation of toxic proteins, cytokines, and chemokines, which can further promote tumor growth9,10. Given that varying degrees of malignancy and aggressiveness in gliomas can result in different levels of damage and repair to the glymphatic system, we propose that there may be differences in glymphatic function between grades and IDH1 mutation statuses.
